The VisionCommunity Center Building Update

Currently we are in Phase 1B of our full community campus. This phase is one of four phases. We continue to expand our programs by providing opportunities for our members to live meaningful and active lives with supported independence to meet their multiple needs. Our next step is building outdoor recreational areas, a gathering pavilion, gymnasium, as well as respite homes and residential housing.

TLC Highlight: Member Talent ~Sandy.

We have an amazing group of members here at TLC with many different gifts and talents!
We have been blessed to watch Sandy grow in her music talents here at TLC and out in our community. She is currently taking lessons at Ocala Guitar Center and participates in multiple showcases throughout the year. She also performed at our 2022 Champagne Dreams Gala. She is amazing to watch and hear! Congratulations Sandy, on all your accomplishments! ❤

TLC hosted a staff work day on Friday, September 1, 2023, where we had an unbelievable Team Building experience! We were blessed to have Darren Ritch with JDR Elite Coaching host a John Maxwell inspired workshop to teach our staff about effective methods of communication, explain every individual’s DISC personality assessment, tactics to help build and maintain healthy relationships, and much more! We even had a special guest all the way from Utah (Winter Vinecki--an athlete, entrepreneur and motivational speaker) who spoke to the Team about how to inspire one another and how to make a difference while working as a team.

The Olive Garden Lunch was sponsored by FL Express Environmental and the dessert table was sponsored by ICR Recycling and Summer Galvis.

Thank you all for a successful event. We continue to be grateful for our beautiful TLC family, members, sponsors, and board leadership as we continue to make it our daily Mission to provide a safe, caring, and enriching community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We hold regular fundraisers in the community and would love for you to join us. In order to fulfill the complete dream of building the TLC community, we need ongoing financial gifts. Please donate now, or contact us to see how you can become a Partner for Potential.

Communicate

If you are aware of any adult with special needs, please share the TLC dream with their family. We currently have a weekday program, a Saturday program, and many social activities. We would love to serve more people. Please tell those within your circle of influence about TLC.

Volunteer

There are a variety of ways you can help. Please visit our Committees page to learn more about our needs and where you will most enjoy serving with TLC. Since we serve a very vulnerable population, background screenings are required for all volunteers who will have direct contact with TLC clients.
