Our ribbon-cutting ceremony introduced the Carmen & Carlos Pascual Community Center’s Grand Opening and was a huge success. Thank you to all that supported this event. We had quite a turn-out and are truly blessed with some amazing people that stand behind our vision and mission of what we strive for each day. This mission is to provide special needs adults with a Community Center that offers life skills, independence, friendships while living in faith.
The TLC Board of directors, staff, members, and all family members, Ocala Mayor, Kent Guinn, Senator Dennis Baxley, members from the Marion County Board of Commissioners Office, Ocala CEP, among others were in attendance. With the support of many people, our TLC family continues with amazing projects in the works.
Funding for TLC was made possible through a Community Development Building Grant (CDBG). Upon receiving this $600,000 grant, there were matched donations through cash and in-kind contributions. In addition, the property for the community was donated by the City of Ocala. TLC used these benefactions toward what was needed to get started with phase 1 of 4 phases, which would complete a full community campus. Still to come are three phases which will include a gymnasium, respite, and residential homes.
