On September 30, 2019, staff welcomed current TLC members and their families, as well as board members, on the first day in their new 5000 square-foot community center. The new facility, located at 3360 Northwest Gainesville Road serves as the primary community center home for the THRIVE program (Teamwork, Honor, Respect, Independence, Values, Education) and the TLC administrative offices.

THRIVE provides learning and growth opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The program embodies an school day but the focus is on applying skills such as socialization, life skills, and the creation enterprises.  Having a daily purpose and the companionship of their peers adds value and joy to their lives.  At THRIVE, members are strengthening their independence, building friendships, expanding their world, and growing in faith.

The development of the first phase is the beginning of a full community campus. Plans are in the works to expand with outdoor recreational areas, a gathering pavilion, gymnasium, and respite and residential housing.  Funding has been made possible from the Marion County Commissioners through a US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant and property awarded from the City of Ocala, along with the support of private donors and local businesses.
